Aren't kids great? My nephew once asked me what I was eating when we were in a Chinese restaurant, and I told him, "It's meat and vegetables." You know, tried to put it in terms he'd understand at 3 years old. And he looks at me, totally serious, and says, "Oh, I used to eat that when I was a little boy, like you are now!" Too funny!
Steve- This comment has no grounding in this exact post... just wanted you to know I catch up on your blog when I can.
As far as Anne LaMott goes, you know I am a die hard fan, and if she can get paid to write about her life- more power to her.
An interesting note from when I saw her speak- she said something like, people think I am really public that what is in the books are 100% of my life, but she said she only shares like 10% or some other ridiculously small amount... which I had never imagined.
I did like the story about stepping on a nail- because I watched my brother do it and I've always thought it was one of the most disgusting things... ever.

PS-
I didn't mean to be anonymous. Its Amy (not the one in the story) - the one from WR.
