MTV Trivia Question
In honor of MTV's 25th anniversary, I'm posting my answer to the question "what was the 2nd video ever played on MTV?" Most people have heard the first video was "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles. According to this link, the second was Pat Benatar's "You Better Run." Do you remember your first time watching MTV? (and it'd better not be Real World!!!)

I guess I should say, we were stranded in Dunsmuir, CA at a hotel because our truck broke down on our way to a horse show. In our room, on a Saturday morning, my brother and I watched MTV for six hours. It was 1981.
Good story!!! so you actually have first hand experience of the first and second videos ever played?? I have no idea of this Pat Benatar girl but she looks authentically 80s.

The first video I ever saw on MTV was that dire straits one, but kinda phased out of it, actually currently phased out of all tv alltogether.
